Submission Guidelines
Ramsfield Press was formed with the goal of publishing traditional, narrative fiction. We prefer novels, but will also consider collections of short stories unified by a theme, however tenuous.
We are interested in reading work from writers who have never published and/or who have self-published, as well as work from those who have been previously published.
Please follow these guidelines for GENERAL SUBMISSIONS to share your work with us. Writing contests have separate guidelines.
FORMAT: Send only the first 25-30 pages double-spaced, which have been well-edited and proofread, and a chapter by chapter summary. Please use a standard 12-point font. Include your name and the title of your work on each page. We work very hard to reply within six to eight weeks. Unfortunately, we are much too fallible and sometimes overwhelmed. We take a deep breath, calm ourselves, and try to slog through our piles of work. Please feel free to also take deep breaths and be patient. Do not call or email us about your work unless at least three months have passed and you have not heard.

- Begin the process by sending us a query letter describing your book.
- Do not try to catch our attention with goofy gimmicks that only creative minds can conceive.

- the ways you can help market your work.
